It doesn't hurt my feelings when juvenile commentators, unperceptive bloggers, and insipid strangers denounce me online or in person. At its worst, it can be a nuisance, like a pimple that just won't go away. At its best, it can be something I thrive on, fueling my flame for a little while longer. But mostly I just find it amusing that some people actually take the time to scorn me. Whatever my detractors may say about me, it never manages to actually get me down.
What does hurt my feelings, however, is finding out that the studio I am signed to and have worked with for over two years, a "family" that I was told I still belong to, threw a party and didn't invite me... Thanks guys. I love being left out.

It's a sad fact that the stigma associated with the porn industry is coming so true for you. More so for you, because you got so much deeper into it than I did. So I know it may hurt, but it's best that you channel your energies to bigger and better things. The fact that you went public with your HIV status may be your sub-conscience at work to get to those bigger and better things.

Austin Wilde recently did an interview with (@PapiInMiamiFL) on the papi chulo radio show/podcast and was asked about HIV and he said that was a sensitive subject and he personal has 10-15 friends that have tested positive.
My guess is people are uncomfortable with the subject and dont want to deal with it if they dont have to.

They are spineless cowards. My own less dramatic and serious experience, severe depression period and being diagnosed as someone who will always have to take preventive medication for it, had one good thing about it: I found out who my real friends are. They still are everything for me.

There are people who will hurt your feelings, either intentionally or unintentionally, it does not matter. There are also also people who idolize you and consider you a very lucky and talented man for your insane success, charming personality, and pretty features. And then you have friends, who will build you back up if you let them know you've been broken down. Living with all of these three is inevitable, so it's good to blog out your thoughts and know that you are loved.

I suppose it is unfortunate, but there are a lot of us out there. You will find a lot of people who do not want to deal with you because you remind them of their own less than perfect records. It was a party, and there will be others to which you are not only invited but eagerly sought.
If you want to get more information about the world of Poz people, I recommend you check out POZ magazine. It provides a wealth of information about such things as drug regimens, legal and social issues unique to POZ people. I tried to ignore my status for the first two years, but that didn't turn out so well. Now, I stay as informed as possible, but I don't obsess over stuff. I just accept the facts and move on. Being neurotic about it just makes you feel bad and ultimately detracts from a happy life. I'm sure you still like to have sex as often as possible. Right? Nothing is a bigger buzz kill than obsessing over HIV.
When I looked at the photographs you have of yourself on your blog, I was struck by how very handsome you are. Not run of the mill handsome, but uniquely yours. As far as most of us who follow your career in porn and your blog, you are most certainly not a has-been. You are readjusting your life and will certainly find your footing, soon.

I've been thinking about this; went to your site and took note that you've been relegated to solos. I'm sure that you're not the first HIV positive performer (online or at a studio), and I think it's ignorant to treat you this way.

Mason, I have good news and possible bad news. The good news is that I think you were left out because they thought you might fuck a couple of guys or a couple of guys might want to fuck you.
