I always wonder why would you allow some post to be posted. I have a blog (non-sexual - it's a podcast about a sports entertainment) and we closed the comments. Why? Because there's a lot of people with a lot of free time in they're hands, and just like to bash what you do.
I think you made the right call to vet unpleasent comments. They can create they're own blog and do it everytime they want.

Mason, what you are trying to do is admirable, but don't take it too far. If you take away the people's powers too much, you will be hated for it. Seriously! I have seen situations like this before, and it never ends well. My advice would be to keep the comment moderation on permanently. You and Marcus could check each comment and put them on accordingly. It may be good to be proclaimed as King, but when the power starts to sink in, then you are in trouble. People have a tendency to be power-crazy. Don't fall into that trap.
