Once I entered my teen years I slowly began to get the feeling that weird wasn't a synonym for cool. Being cool got you popularity but being weird just got me beat up. Of course I tried to be cool, but it was a lesson in life that you can't pretend to be something that you're not and I was definitely not cool.
By the time I started high school I was tired of being the kid who got picked on so I turned to weight lifting hoping that gaining physical strength and muscle would ward off any more attacks. To my surprise it worked. I made it out of my teens alive and went straight to college.
I went to a couple of different universities but I ended up at the University of North Texas. I majored in Social Studies Education. It was there that the pressures of fitting in just melted away and I was free to just be me. As a sexually repressed homosexual I was finally able to openly seek out other gay guys, and have sex without shame or embarrassment.
I made many choices in college, some good and some bad. Some of the choices I made had little to no affect on my life, others would change my life forever. Getting into the porn industry was one of those choices. Strangely enough, I never really watch porn, even before getting into the business. My masturbation material of choice was always men's fitness magazines and my imagination. I have been doing adult modeling for the past three years and it has been an experience that I have both loved and hated. It has put me with sexual partners that were less passionate than a blow-up doll, turned hot sexual encounters into day-long painful endurance tests, and caused some of my former closest friends to cut ties with me. But that’s all part of the job and I knew it when I started. On the other hand, Porn has given me some of the best sexual experiences in my life, fulfilled many of my fantasies, introduced me to more friends than I could of ever dreamed of having, paid for my student loans, and it has uncovered a self-confidence in me that I never knew I had.
I have never been an ambitious person, I have always been content with a simple life, simple goals, and simple rewards. For as long as I could remember all I ever wanted was a stable job, independence, and a place to call home. Just like anyone else I would love to have someone incredible to share that with but I never really got my hopes up that I would actually fall in love. The idea seemed so foreign to me. But just like it happens in a Hollywood movie, it happened to me, when I least expected it. Now that I know what being in love feels like it has become one of my life goals to get that feeling back.
Nobody knows what the future holds but I am currently trying to save enough funds to pay for graduate school. I am aiming to get a Doctorate in Education so that I can skip the whole high school teaching gig and head straight for a college professor position. At the same time I am training for a Marathon and a Bike Race, for the purpose of raising money and awareness to help find a cure for some of the world’s most debilitating diseases. If I have any money left over after all that then I want to take a road trip across the country, something I have been planning for years. And maybe buy some new underwear.

Finally! Long time cumming & that's not like you! ;)
Good luck on the sports goals and with the new Blog!! -- Jason (myspace.com/jasonstrickland)
My vote for Grad school is Vandy!
Sounds like you and I had much the same childhood Mason, and that surprises me!! I know what it's like to sit alone, and to have no one to talk to, but your self. I guess I still have that happen at times in my life today. I hope you raise the money that you want. I hope you win that Marathon! I hope you get that degree, and become the best damn teacher this world has ever seen!!!! Don't let anyone tell you you can't, and don't let them tell you you can't because of your porn career! I had a teacjer in Jr. High that was aformer Chip N' Dales dancer!! If he can do it, so can you Mason!! I wish you all the luck in the world, and all my freindship & love!!
Good for you, Mason, and good luck with the new blog!
Wishing you all the best Mr. Wyler! Thanks for your first post on the blog...it was most interesting. You're smart...and very easy on the eyes. You'll do well in whatever you desire.
Welcome to the Blogosphere... Been reading your entries on your MySpace blog for awhile. Now that you host your own blog, no more censors!
I'll add you to my Adult Film Actor Blogroll, and will write up a post announcing your launch!
PS. don't give up on DVD for the web. Some of us still like to rent your films.
I'm currently struggling for funds to pay for my own education, but I love your plan, you'd make a LOT of people's fantasy come true. Who WOULDN'T want to be taught by someone who starred in porn. ^_~
Good luck, but I think your fighting an uphill battle with the teacher thing.
People haven't gotten jobs because they have pictures of themselves drinking on facebook, let alone starring in countless (and hot) porn movies.
Not to be a debbie downer or anything.
I've been reading your Myspace blogs for awhile now but I usually avoided commenting because I figured my comment would just get buried under the avalanche of other comments you'd receive.
Anyways, back when I first started college, I thought I was all grown up and mature. And then my friend told me that I had to fall in love, get my heart broken, and possibly have a "what am I going to do with my life?" crisis. And I thought she was SO full of it.
And then I met a guy. And I fell in love. And he broke my heart. And then I realized how ridiculously right she was. And right now I'm going through my own "future plans" crisis.
I think it applies to everyone. Everyone needs to fall in love and have their heart broken just once. It's just a necessary stepping stone in every person's life.
Anyways, I'm sure you'll reach all your personal goals. I made it through college by paying my own way and with a little help from financial aid. You have a successful career to back you up, haha. And I agree with your last statement...
Getting new underwear is the best. :P
I think it is ambitions to do what you want.
I like the new blog and if you do take a road trip feel free to hit me up again when you're in Chicago.

Mason... I think you need to stick to what you know and what you are good at selling sexuality! I agree with the previous poster.... YOU WILL NEVER BECOME A RESPECTED PROFESSOR WITH YOUR CURRENT PROFESSION... It sucks that our world judges.. that is just how it is!!! Doesn't mean you still can't be successful.... just means you have to accept it and find something that you are passionate about and go after that to make you successful (and hopefully pay the bills in the process). Other porn boys at your level are making lots and lots of money by running their own websites and production companies (Brent Everett and Randall and Rivero are a couple of examples) I like your idea for this blog... but you should take it a step further... just asking for $$$$$$ isn't going to cut it..... you need to provide something that people want and keep them coming back for more and more and more.... get creative!!! Ethan Reynolds (who i don't particulary like and think is a big fraud) has grown a massive following based on selling his boring life... but he keeps his "followers" guessing with little things like "big announcement coming" even though he frauded many many people, they still flock to him!!! Amazing isn't it? And now even with NO TALENT OR SMARTS.. he landed a contract with HERE TV on the Lair! Well let me tell you.. you are HOTTER AND SMARTER than Ethan Reynods and I think you could go MUCH MUCH FARTHER! I commend you for realizing that education is a good vehicle to get what you want.... but I think you should look into something like marketing, business, or even continue with your writing and english stuff... but becoming a professor with your past will probably not happen.
Oh yea.. and one last bit of advice..... I am a retired IRS auditor and one of your posters left you a comment about getting an accountant.... GREAT ADVICE!!! The IRS loves to bust people trying to collect money through asking for it... there are several laws regarding gift taxing and several things you need to get in place to make sure UNCLE SAM doesn't take what you are gifted or collect. A good accountant or lawyer will make sure you are in compliance.... I am sure you have some bitter people that would LOVE TO TURN YOU INTO the IRS so make sure you get your ducks in a row!!
Best of luck to you Mason! As an old man that has been through alot in my life.... I thought I would give you a bit of advice so maybe you can avoid some of the pitfalls out there :-)
I love watching your vids!!! Keep producing! LOL!
I really am proud of you, that you are doing what you really want to do. Your life stories are made to be happened by your decisions you made everyday. I can related to your childhood experiences. It wasn't easy. Now, I have many cool friends while I never dreamed of to having them when I was young, especially being only deaf student in my schools.
well it seems like i was similar to you when i was in school cause i know i stood out in school and not in a good way
Hi Mason. I've been a fan of yours for a while now and subscribed to your blog here a couple months ago, but today I had the urge to go into your archives and read some of your earlier posts that I've never read before. I wanted to say that I had many of those same issues in school, but unlike you, I never did anything to change them. I didn't work out like you and so I ended up graduating with only a few friends and a lot of other people who just knew my name. I respect you so much. You have a passion and you went after it. I wish you the best of luck in the rest of your life no matter what you choose to do.
P.S. I find it very...interesting, if that's the right word, that your very first post here on your blog was made on my 18th birthday. (08/21/08) Finding that out put a big smile on my face. Like this one. :) I don't even know if you'll ever read this post, and if you do, there's a small chance you'll reply but if you would like to for any reason, you can email me at a-parkman@live.com. Like I said before, I wish you the best of luck in your life.
